Reading the rankings

You can read the public rankings without creating an account. Our hosting and security providers process technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages, and timestamps, to deliver the site, protect it from abuse, and diagnose failures. Security cookies may be set for these purposes.

Preferences stored on your device

We use local storage to remember your light/dark appearance choice and your analytics preference. These preferences remain until you change them or clear your browser’s site data.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics loads only after you select “Allow analytics.” If you allow it, Google receives page-view and interaction information, browser/device information, and technical connection data. It uses cookies including identifiers beginning with _ga to measure visits. Analytics is disabled on administration and authentication pages.

Choosing “Essential only” keeps optional analytics off. You can withdraw consent below; we stop analytics, remove accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site, and reload the page. Withdrawal does not erase information previously sent to Google.

Email updates

If you subscribe, we store your email address, confirmation and unsubscribe status, timestamps, and the version of the signup consent. We send a confirmation email through Resend and only send updates after you confirm. Updates cover recommendation changes and On the Horizon announcements, about once a week. Unsubscribe using the link in an update or contact us. We do not sell the subscriber list.

To prevent signup abuse, we briefly retain keyed hashes of network addresses and email addresses with request counts. Expired rate-limit records are cleared during subsequent signup activity. Unconfirmed signups older than 30 days are also cleared during signup activity. We retain unsubscribe records to honor your preference; contact us to request deletion. Messages and restricted administration

If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include and use it to respond and handle your request. Restricted administration uses authentication and operational records to protect site management. Public readers do not need to use these features.

Retention and requests

Device preferences remain until removed. Provider retention depends on the service and its settings. We retain correspondence and operational records as needed to address requests, maintain the service, and meet applicable obligations. Contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you; applicable rights depend on your location and the information involved.
