Who’s behind Best Model Now?

Best Model Now is owned and operated by Trevor Mayes, a professional screenwriter and editor who runs Scriptwrecked. The goal is to help people choose useful AI tools without having to follow every release, benchmark, and product announcement.

Editorial responsibility

Trevor is responsible for the site’s editorial direction and corrections. His professional expertise informs the screenwriting evaluations. Other categories draw on external benchmarks, practitioner comparisons, product documentation, and recorded tests appropriate to the task.

How automation contributes

AI research agents help monitor sources, assemble evidence, draft explanations, and propose changes. Qualifying updates can publish automatically under category rules, with an audit trail and rollback. Writing tests include human review; model-assisted evaluations help screen fiction challengers and inform review. We do not claim that Trevor personally tests every product or manually approves every routine update.

Our rankings are practical recommendations based on available evidence. Limited test samples and close scores carry uncertainty. Read the methodology and its limits.
